What This Guide Helps You Do
This guide explains how to save and reuse custom styles inside the AI Design Studio as reusable templates. If you frequently generate QR codes for clients, events, or different product SKU packages, templates ensure your codes maintain consistent brand colors, frame designs, and logo positions.
You will learn:
- How to create and save a QR design template.
- How to apply saved templates to new QR codes.
- Template limits across different plans.
- How to manage templates for your team.
Why Use Design Templates?
Building a beautiful QR code from scratch takes time: selecting the HSL colors, adjusting corner curves, uploading the logo, and choosing error correction levels. Doing this manually for every campaign can lead to human error and visual inconsistencies.
Design templates solve this:
- Instant Branding: Apply your brand styles in one click.
- Visual Consistency: Ensure all printed codes look identical.
- Workflow Speed: Reduce creation time from minutes to seconds, which is essential for high-volume batch generation.
Step 1: Save Your First Template
To save a design template:
- Go to the Generator (
/generate). - Style your QR code using the design controls: upload a logo, set custom colors, and choose a frame.
- Once satisfied with the design, click Save as Template in the styling panel.
- Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Company Branded - Blue Frame").
- Click Confirm. The template is now saved to your workspace.
Note: Plan limits apply to saved templates. Pro+ allows up to 20 saved templates, while Team-tier plans and Enterprise support unlimited templates. Review our ZAR plans on our pricing page.
Step 2: Apply a Saved Template
When generating a new QR code:
- Open the Generator (
/generate). - Look at the top of the styling panel and click Load Template.
- Select your saved template from the list.
- The generator will instantly apply the color settings, logo, frame, and configurations.
- Enter your destination URL and save the code.
Managing Templates for Collaborative Teams
If you are on a Team or Enterprise subscription, saved templates are shared across your entire workspace:
- Consistent Execution: Marketing members can generate brand-safe QR codes using pre-approved designs.
- Admin Control: Workspace admins can update templates, ensuring any brand updates propagate across the team.
- Client Organization: Set up distinct templates for each client folder if you manage campaigns as an agency.
