Opens WhatsAppChange the number later

A WhatsApp QR code that starts a chat with one scan.

Most South African customers would rather message than call. Put a code on a van, a shop window or a flyer that opens a WhatsApp chat with your business and a message already typed.

20 dynamic codes, every feature unlocked, no credit card.

Chat opens ready to send

The code opens WhatsApp with your number and a message such as "Hi, I would like a quote". The customer taps send.

Change the number later

New number or a different team member? Update the destination and the printed code follows. No new signage.

Know which sign works

Use a separate code for the van, the window and the flyer, and compare how many scans each gets.

How to set up a WhatsApp code

  1. 1

    Choose the WhatsApp type

Enter the number you want customers to message, in international format, and an optional starting message.

  2. 2

    Make it look like yours

Add your logo and brand colours, and a frame such as "Chat to us on WhatsApp".

  3. 3

    Print and place it

Vehicle branding, shop windows, flyers, invoices and quotes. Test with two phones before printing.

What to know

  • The code opens a chat from the customer’s own WhatsApp. QR Code Pro does not send, store or read the messages.
  • You see scans with city, device and time. You do not see who messaged or what was said.
  • Use a number that someone will actually answer. A code on a van that nobody monitors costs you trust.
  • Dynamic codes need an active account. If it lapses the printed codes stop redirecting.

Get your WhatsApp code ready

1

Pick the number and the message

Use a number that is monitored in business hours and a message that tells you where the customer scanned.

2

Put it where people wait or pass

A van, a shop window, a counter or an invoice. Real placement is what shows you whether it works.

3

Compare placements

Make one code per placement and compare scans after a week.

What to check: scans per placement over the first week, so you know which sign sends people to WhatsApp.

The trial: 14 days, 20 dynamic codes, every feature unlocked, no credit card.

Then: Pro is R99/month for 50 codes, Pro+ R199/month for 200 and Team R299/month for 500. Unlimited scans on every plan, billed in Rand through PayFast, cancel any time.

If you do nothing: your dynamic codes stop redirecting when the trial ends, so choose a plan before printing a big run.

Questions

1

Does the WhatsApp QR code work with WhatsApp Business?

It opens a chat with the number you enter, so it works with a WhatsApp Business number or a normal WhatsApp number.
2

Can I change the number after printing?

Yes. A dynamic code redirects, so you update the destination and the printed code keeps working.
3

Can I set a message in advance?

Yes. You can add a starting message so the customer opens a chat with the text already typed, for example the product or the sign they scanned.
4

Do you see my customers’ messages?

No. The chat happens inside WhatsApp between your customer and your number. We only count the scan.
5

How much does QR Code Pro cost?

There is a 14-day trial with 20 dynamic codes and no credit card. After that Pro is R99/month for 50 codes, Pro+ is R199/month for 200 codes and Team is R299/month for 500 codes. Scans are unlimited on every plan and you pay in Rand through PayFast.
6

What happens when the trial ends?

If you do nothing, your dynamic codes stop redirecting when the 14 days end. Your account is kept for a while so you can come back and choose a plan. Pick a plan before you print a large run.
