Managing Your Inventory & Stock Levels
Learn how to add products, track stock, set low-stock alerts, and manage suppliers.
## Your Digital Stock Room
Accurate inventory is the foundation of a profitable retail business. Our system makes it easy to stay on top of your stock.
### Adding a New Product
1. Go to **Retail Suite > Inventory**.
2. Click **"Add Product"**.
3. Fill in the details:
- **Name & SKU**: The product's display name and unique code.
- **Price & Cost Price**: What you sell it for, what you paid for it (for profit calculation).
- **Stock Level**: How many you have.
- **VAT Category**: Standard (15%), Zero-rated, or Exempt.
- **Supplier**: Link to a supplier for easy reordering.
4. Save. A barcode is auto-generated.
### Low-Stock Alerts
Set a **Min Stock** value per product. When stock falls below this, you'll see alerts on the dashboard.
### Cost Price & Profit
By entering your cost price, the system can calculate your gross profit margin on every sale.
